ISDM SOLUTIONS – JUNIOR BUYER
Reports to: Head of Procurement
The primary purpose of this role is to manage ISDM’s purchasing for successful project delivery on a global scale, following the five rights of procurement and the CIPS sourcing cycle. The role will provide an administrative and support function in a busy day to day environment working as part of the Procurement team in meeting the strategy and goals set out. The role in based in Halifax, West Yorkshire, UK on a hybrid working policy.
SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES
Fundamentals of the Job
- Negotiating with suppliers to agree prices, quantities, delivery schedules and exclusivity deals.
- Devise ways to optimize inventory control procedures.
- Track and manage deliveries to ensure they are available for project delivery.
- Maintain quality standards throughout the procurement cycle.
- Work regularly and confidently with multiple stakeholders and clearly dissect and manage issues.
- Diligently control a multimillion pound spend across all categories and work with the Head of Procurement to implement innovative cost saving initiatives.
- Process purchasing requisitions for global project delivery ensuring the right quantity and quality of hardware is delivered.
- Manage RMA process internally and escalate any exceptions to the Head of Procurement.
- Competently execute the sourcing process and ensure consistent and timely delivery.
- Assisting Procurement Officers with daily tasks to ensure projects are delivered on time.
- Involvement in supplier performance management activities
- Manage any DOA cases by securing a swap out of the hardware within agreed timescales.
- Work with Procurement and Operations teams to facilitate the logistics of project and internal hardware.
- Ensure that the inward goods and stock is properly controlled.
- Communicate with internal stakeholders – Project Managers, Procurement, Finance and the PMO to flag any risks on supply chain.
- Assisting Procurement Officers with daily tasks to ensure projects are delivered on time.
